Chronic Hypertension: When the women have preexisting high blood pressure before she gets pregnant, this case is termed as chronic hypertension.
Gestational Hypertension: This hypertension generally occurs after the 20 weeks of pregnancy and generally resolve after the delivery.
Chronic Hypertension with Superimposed Preeclampsia: Women who already have chronic hypertension before pregnancy can develop the case of preeclampsia. This happens when protein starts coming from the urine or some other type of complication springs as the pregnancy progresses.
Complications Of High Blood Pressure
Preeclampsia: This condition affects the organs on a very serious note, that includes the brain and the kidneys of the body. Preeclampsia is also known as toxaemia. This condition when occur with seizures transform into eclampsia, which if left untreated can be fatal to the person.
HELLP: This is an acronym stands for hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelets counts of the body. This medical condition is dangerous and can be life-threatening and can occur because of the preeclampsia. HELLP syndrome can critically damage the organs of the body, because of which important medical care is taken to protect the mother and the baby.
