While those who go through ADF often compensate for their lost calories when they are said to eat, but the compensation is not for all of the lost calories.

While there are many researched benefits of ADF, but doctors and medical professionals do not recommend it as something everybody should practice.
It may be a good regime for a couple of months for obese people to cut down some weights or can be proven as a useful clinical intervention in diseases driven by inflammation. However, to apply it to the daily practice still demands further research.
Doctors also warn people who are experiencing viral infection to refrain themselves from fasting. And always consult a physician before undertaking any new form a new diet, particularly one that is as strick as Alternate Day Fasting.
