Treat Dry Hair With Home Remedies

Dry hair is a cause of the problem for many people out there. Not only it makes the hair fallout but it also makes the hair look dull and unappealing. The cause of dry hair is that they are unable to retain the moisture needed for a lustrous and shiny look and without it, hair just become brittle and fragile. 


Some of the factors that help the hair to become dry and brittle comprise of nutritional deficiency, long exposures of sunlight, excessive contact of chlorine water and regular wash. But the modern way of styling hair for a picture-perfect look and the use of numerous chemicals also adds the tone to destruction. 


We are presenting here some easy home remedies that you can easily indulge in your life. 


1. Hot Oil Massage: Using oil that is rich in vitamin E like olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil and others are really good in treating the dryness of hair. As it helps to seal the outer layer of the hair with moisture thus repairing the damage.


Warm-up (do not boil) a desired amount of oil and thoroughly massage it in your hair. Cover up your hair with a warm towel and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes. After that wash and rinse your hair nicely. 


2. Homemade Coconut Oil Masks: Coconut oil delivers a very soothing and moisturising effect to the hair. You can make your own hair mask without adding any chemicals or additives. 


Boil some curry leaves with coconut oil for about two to three minutes. And leave it to rest in a cool place.


Once the mixture is cooled down, gently rub it into hair and scalp and cover it up with a warm towel. Leave it for few minutes and then rinse it out. 


3. Homemade Yoghurt And Oil Mask: Yoghurt and oil when put together provide a very effective treatment for dry hair. 


Simply add up half a cup of yoghurt to two tbsps of oil and six to seven drops of essential oil. Mix it thoroughly. Apply the mix on the shampooed hair and leave it for about 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly. 


4. Avocado Paste: Avocado is rich with vitamin A, vitamin E and minerals that help in providing the nourishment to the hair and retain its lustre.


Mix one whole ripe and peel avocado with one egg and apply the paste on slightly wet hair. Leave it for about 20 to 25 minutes and rinse. Make sure you wash your hair thoroughly so that the complete mixture comes out.  


Apart from these, there is some medical cause of dry hair like anorexia nervosa, Menkes disease or other hormone abnormalities. But in this case, the wise thing to do is to contact a doctor and follow their instructions.
